Health & Social Care Lecturer – Wirral Met College

Base pay range

Health and Social Care Lecturer (part-time, 17.5 hours per week, permanent). Salary £15,101 – £20,884.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out formal scheduled teaching on programmes ranging from level 1 to 5.
  • Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students to maintain high achievement rates.
  • Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials.
  • Mark students’ work and carry out internal quality assurance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 2 or above English and Maths qualifications.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in health and social or a related area.
  • Sound grasp of relevant teaching strategies and techniques.
  • Able to evidence successful experience of teaching, training or assessing groups of students.
