We are looking for a Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full‑time, permanent role offering a salary of £47,469 to £55,001 per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead on the implementation of the College’s digital education, artificial intelligence and learning innovation agenda, ensuring that digital technologies are used effectively, safely and inclusively to improve teaching and learning, administrative workloads and organisational performance. A key purpose of the role is to increase operational performance for teaching and support staff by identifying opportunities for systems, processes and AI‑enabled tools to be utilised in daily activities, with a critical focus being on reducing workload and streamlining administrative tasks, enabling staff to maintain focus on high‑quality teaching, learning and support.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in AI, Computer Science with AI components or equivalent technical qualification.
- Substantial relevant experience in leadership, workforce or organisational development related to digital systems/AI.
- English/literacy and maths/numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above.
- Evidence of continuing professional development in digital education, leadership, AI, change management or related areas.
- Significant experience of leading digital learning, digital transformation, educational technology or AI implementation within an educational or comparable setting.
- Experience of leading and developing staff and managing change successfully.
- Working knowledge of typical systems infrastructure within a large Microsoft Tenant.
