We are looking for a college Governor to join our team. This is a voluntary position in which you can play a central role in supporting learners, employers, and the local economy.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
- Attending in‑person Board meetings at our campuses in Birkenhead four times a year.
- Joining Committee meetings remotely over Teams three to four times a year.
- Carrying out advance work for meetings by reading papers and preparing questions.
- Responding to emails from the Governance Professional regarding general Board business between meetings.
- Representing the Board at College events including Graduation and Staff Awards.
- Keeping up with sector developments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in law, property/estates, or HR/people management.
- Can think strategically, ask constructive questions, and champion good governance.
- Value education, opportunity, and inclusion.
- Can commit approximately eight hours per month, with flexibility to accommodate busier and quieter months.
- Previous governance experience is welcome but not essential.
