Wirral Day Services is looking for caring, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Service Support Workers. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and take part in meaningful activities within the community.

We have specialist provision for people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) at Pensby Wood. The role requires patience, compassion and a person-centred approach. Individuals may have complex physical, health, sensory and communication needs and require support with all aspects of daily living. The role involves providing hands-on assistance, promoting comfort and wellbeing, supporting communication through non-verbal methods, facilitating meaningful activities and ensuring each person is able to participate fully in their life and community.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting people in a care setting is desirable, whether through paid work, volunteering or personal experience.
  • A Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
  • Experience supporting adults with complex health needs or behaviours of concern would be advantageous.
