We have specialist provision for people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) at Pensby Wood. The role requires patience, compassion and a person-centred approach. Individuals may have complex physical, health, sensory and communication needs and require support with all aspects of daily living. The role involves providing hands-on assistance, promoting comfort and wellbeing, supporting communication through non-verbal methods, facilitating meaningful activities and ensuring each person is able to participate fully in their life and community.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting people in a care setting is desirable, whether through paid work, volunteering or personal experience.
- A Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
- Experience supporting adults with complex health needs or behaviours of concern would be advantageous.
