Team Leader – Facilities Support & Helpdesk
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Help Desk Team Leader to lead the day-to-day operation of our Facilities Support and Help Desk service within Asset Management. You will manage a team responsible for coordinating maintenance requests, raising orders, processing payments, and ensuring that Council buildings remain safe, secure, and fully operational.
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues, contractors, schools, and Council departments to ensure building faults and service requests are logged, prioritised, and resolved efficiently. You will provide leadership and support to Help Desk staff, oversee performance, and play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service and effective service delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the Council's Facilities Management service, particularly as we continue to embed the Corporate Landlord Model. The role requires strong organisational skills, experience of managing teams and resources, and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
