An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Transfer of Care Hub Adult Social Care Team, within Wirral University Teaching Hospitals. This role is primarily located at Arrowe Park Hospital, with additional in-reach support to Clatterbridge Hospital. It offers an excellent development opportunity for social workers who would like to broaden their skills and gain experience in a different service area.

About the role

You will work as part of a supportive, specialist team focused on delivering high-quality support to aid in safe and timely discharge from hospital for the residents of Wirral. We cover a 7 day service and so weekends and bank holidays are worked on a rota basis. This is a great opportunity to be part of a very supportive team with varied caseloads and a wealth of experience.

About the candidate

We are looking for a Social Worker ideally with some experience in hospital discharge, however, this is not essential and would welcome all applications from those who are or will be registered with Social Work England.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, including a check of the relevant Barred List(s). Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work in the UK before commencing employment or meet the Home Office criteria for Visa sponsorship.
