About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for 2 individuals to work in the Administration team at Merseyside Pension Fund (Local Government Pension Scheme). These posts are based in Liverpool City Centre and will be part of the Employer Compliance & Membership team. Merseyside Pension Fund (MPF) is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and is one of the largest local government pension funds in the UK. The Funds office is based at Castle Chambers in Liverpool City centre. The Fund is a contributory defined benefit pension scheme and administers the LGPS for employees of over 200 employers across the Merseyside area and beyond.

About the Candidate: The successful candidates will be responsible for the application of statutory requirements, under pension scheme regulations and associated legislation, to determine and calculate member benefits, together with the maintenance of accurate member data and financial records. Within this role, you will liaise with Fund members, employers and outside agencies, providing written and oral information/guidance to a wide range of customers. Therefore, a high level of communication skills is essential as is sound financial acumen. The successful candidates should have an awareness of the Local Government Pension Scheme and sound IT, literacy and numeracy skills are all essential, as well as the ability to work to deadlines.

We've embraced new ways of working and hybrid working between home and office will potentially be a feature of this role, working at the office 3 days per week. This can be discussed more during the recruitment process. Our technology platform and equipment allow you to connect and collaborate remotely which requires that you have in place good connectivity.
