Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our busy Wallasey Adult Social Care Team to cover 9 month Maternity Leave. This is a key role where you’ll work alongside another Advanced Practitioner, supporting complex and high-risk cases while helping shape best practice across the service.

About the role:

  • Manage a small caseload involving safeguarding, high-risk situations, and Court of Protection work
  • Support practitioners with challenging cases and provide professional leadership and mentoring
  • Lead safeguarding processes, including chairing protection meetings
  • Ensure person-centred assessments, care planning, and effective risk management
  • Work with partners and safeguarding teams to improve practice and outcomes
  • Contribute to service development, innovation, and policy improvements
  • Quality assure reports, assessments, and court documentation
