Wirral Council invites applications for two Senior Human Resources Officers to join our HR Operations Team. These roles will report to an HR Business Partner within a directorate and are essential in supporting and leading key HR activity directed by the HR Business Partner, driving corporate priorities, acting as an escalation point and ensuring strong organisation of aligned services work requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead on key HR activity directed by the HR Business Partner.
  • Drive corporate priorities and act as an escalation point.
  • Ensure strong organisation of aligned services work requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of employment law, conditions of service and HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience working with challenging employee relations cases and developing positive relationships with key stakeholders (trade unions, managers, school leaders, external partners).
  • Evidence of supporting the development of HR policies and procedures and working on wider HR projects across multiple work remits.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work, whilst being flexible to the changing demands of the service.
  • Passion for delivering an excellent HR service.
