Senior Accountant
About The Role
An exciting and challenging opportunity has been created to join the Finance Service at Wirral Council. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join and support the Treasury Management & VAT team.
As a key member of the Accountancy team, your primary purpose will be to support the Senior Finance Business Partner to effectively manage the cash flow of the Council.
You will play a key role in ensuring the Council’s investment and debt portfolios are maintained in adherence to the risk minimizing parameters within the Council’s Treasury Management Strategy.
Working with the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will also help to ensure that the Council complies with all necessary VAT accounting and reporting requirements.
About The Candidate
You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individual, who is able to demonstrate a working knowledge of this area, whilst also possessing excellent communication skills.
This position requires strong financial analysis skills and the ability to contribute to reporting for various stakeholders.
