The Local Paths & Public Rights of Way Liaison Officer is a Statutory Post that is responsible for the maintenance of public rights of way (approx. 100 miles), permissive routes and cycle paths across the Borough. The post is based within the Highway Engineering Team and will work closely with Contractors and Volunteers to keep the routes accessible.

We’re looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, who can work effectively with colleagues to overcome issues that relate to the maintenance of the Public Right of Way Network. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working with user groups, volunteers and Contractors to maintain local footpaths and cycle paths. In addition, you will be able to work in an agile manner to meet the needs of the service.
