We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible individual to undertake an exciting new role within the Council's Community Safety Service to assist in the delivery of a new Community Cohesion Programme across Wirral.
As a Community Cohesion Officer you’ll play a key part in delivering Wirral’s Community Cohesion Programme. Your work will include:
- Coordinating small‑grant programmes
- Supporting multi‑agency interventions
- Gathering insight and data
- Organising engagement events
- Helping partners collaborate effectively
We’re looking for a motivated candidate who can build trust, stay calm under pressure and communicate confidently with a wide range of people. You should have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills are required. Experience in community engagement, partnership working, community safety or grant administration is desirable but not essential.
Requirements:
- Motivated with enthusiasm, adaptability and commitment to supporting stronger, safer communities.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in community engagement or grant administration (desirable).
- Current driving licence.
- Subject to DBS at appropriate level and NPPV2F clearance.
