Information Governance Officer
About The Role
The Information Governance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Council Information Asset Register and Record of Processing Activities Register are current and fit for purpose, and for maintaining all Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Sharing Agreement registers.
The role is also responsible for Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT) compliance and is the Lead Officer on recording, reporting and analysis of Security Incidents. The role provides support to the Information Governance Team in all aspects of their work, ensuring compliance in relation to Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and the Data Protection Act and is based within the Information Governance team, within the Directorate of Law & Corporate Services.
About The Candidate
We are looking for someone to demonstrate great customer service, good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills, with excellent administrative abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload is vital as this is a busy role within the team. Experience in coordinating and managing Board meetings, minute taking, report writing and policy review would be advantageous.
An understanding of Data Protection, Freedom of Information (FOI) and The Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) Legislation would be ideal, and training will be given in the use of the case management system used by the Team.
