Wirral Council’s Environmental Health Service carries out a wide range of public protection duties, including food safety, health and safety, pollution control, animal health and shellfish bed classification, and will provide the opportunity to assist in the delivery of all statutory functions for the service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines to provide a high-quality service to the public, the business community and external organisations.
Key qualifications and capabilities include:
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Sound knowledge of environmental health legislation
- Full driving licence required
- Holding or working towards registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (as required by the Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent)
