Early Years Inclusive Placement Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Wirral’s Early Years Childcare Practice team, working closely with the Early Years sector to support inclusive, high-quality provision across the borough.

About The Role

You will support children with SEND in a variety of early years settings, providing expert advice and guidance to settings on implementing Operation Encompass procedures, ensuring children witnessing parental conflict are supported sensitively.

You will assess Settling Inclusion Grant applications and conduct observations to inform funding decision and promote best practice in early years provision, particularly for children impacted by ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences).

About The Candidate

We’re seeking someone who has demonstrable experience working with children under five. You must possess excellent communication skills and have a compassionate, professional approach to sensitive situations.

You will have a strong understanding of Early Years and SEND legislation, including the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice and will be confident in offering practical support and guidance to early years practitioners.
