Wirral Council is seeking a Technical Officer to join the Environmental Health Service. This is a varied and rewarding role providing specialist technical support across a range of environmental health disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Carry out investigations and inspections across a range of environmental health disciplines.
- Provide expert advice to residents and businesses.
- Take enforcement action where necessary, including gathering evidence, serving legal notices and preparing prosecution files.
- Specialise in one or more environmental health areas while developing skills across the wider service.
Qualifications
- Hold an appropriate qualification in at least one Environmental Health related discipline or have relevant experience and a commitment to attaining a qualification.
