Active Places Manager – 3 roles.
About The Role
Active Wirral are seeking 3 x Active Places Managers to support the Active Wirral management team with the ongoing service transformation. The modernisation of the management and support workforce within the Active Wirral service follows recommendations from a leading UK leisure consultancy.
The modernisation focuses on strengthening the operational management, facility and sports management and operational support workforce within the service. The service seeks to optimise efficiencies, whilst making meaningful saving towards the councils Medium Term Financial Plan.
The role will support and embed the principles of place-based working, including operational delivery that aligns with local priorities across Wirral’s communities, ensuring leisure facilities are active contributors to tackling inactivity, health inequalities and social isolation.
Active Wirral is responsible for the management and operations of 10 sports and leisure facilities across the Borough.
About The Candidate
You will lead a team of Team Leaders and Duty Managers to deliver high quality sports and physical activities across the indoor and outdoor facilities and ensure the provision of safe, quality and customer focused service, delivering outcomes for customers through optimising value and best practice.
