Role Overview

Ready to dive deep into the world of IoT connectivity and build some seriously cool stuff?

As a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer, you\’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our platforms, creating seamless experiences that delight our customers and redefine IoT management. This isn\’t just about writing code; it\’s about solving complex challenges, innovating with cutting-edge tech, and having a blast while doing it. We’re looking for someone who thrives on pushing boundaries and can contribute to a culture that\’s anything but a stuffy corporate machine!

You\’ll report directly to our Development Lead and will be a key player in a dynamic, cross-functional team of talented engineers. While this role doesn\’t currently involve direct management, you\’ll have ample opportunities to mentor junior developers and lead technical initiatives. You\’ll primarily focus on our core platform development with a global remit, collaborating closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and our dedicated DevOps team. If you\’re a team player who loves making a tangible impact, you\’ll fit right in!

Here’s what your day-to-day adventure will look like:

• Architect and develop robust full-stack solutions using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor.
• Design, implement, and optimise database schemas and queries primarily within SQL Server, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
• Contribute to and enhance our CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, promoting efficient and reliable deployments.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code , adhering to best practices and contributing to code reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the entire application stack, from front-end glitches to back-end performance bottlenecks.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, actively proposing and implementing improvements to our tech stack.

The Secret Sauce (Key Experience & Skills ):

• Specific Experience : 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on the .NET ecosystem.
• Core Technical Skills:
• Back-End Expertise: Deep understanding of C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Entity Framework Core, and Dependency Injection.
• Database Prowess: Solid experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server, including schema design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
• DevOps & Cloud Skills: Practical experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and containerisation (Docker). Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
• Testing & Quality: Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (MSTest, xUnit, or NUnit), integration testing, and mocking libraries (Moq or NSubstitute).
• Bonus Skills: Exposure to SignalR, gRPC/WebSockets, Microservices architecture, or advanced design patterns (CQRS, Mediator) would be a huge plus!

Your Objectives for the Year:

• Elevate Platform Performance: Significantly improve the speed and responsiveness of our core IoT management platform, focusing on critical features and user workflows.
• Drive Feature Innovation: Lead the development and successful launch of at least two major new features or product enhancements that directly impact customer satisfaction and business growth.
• Enhance Developer Productivity: Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools, potentially through refining CI/CD pipelines or introducing new best practices, to boost team efficiency.
