We are seeking an experienced EWM Consultant to join our team for an EWM implementation project. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) with a proven track record of successfully delivering at least two end-to-end EWM implementation projects. The consultant should have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in various EWM functionalities, including Inbound, Outbound, Production Integration, and Physical Inventory processes.
Responsibilities:- EWM Implementation: Lead and actively participate in all phases of EWM implementation projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for EWM system implementation.
- Solution Design: Design and configure EWM system to meet the specific business requirements including layouts, put-away and removal strategies, ECC integration with S/4 HANA, Business process mapping and ensuring optimal utilization of EWM functionalities and integration with external systems.
- Inbound Process: Configure and optimize inbound processes such as goods receipt, put away, quality management, and returns, ensuring seamless integration with procurement and production processes.
- Outbound Process: Design and implement outbound processes including order fulfilment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping, considering various order types, delivery scenarios, and transportation management integration.
- Production Integration: Collaborate with the production team to integrate EWM with the manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth flow of materials, inventory management, and accurate tracking within the production environment.
- Physical Inventory: Define and implement physical inventory procedures, including cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, stocktaking, and variance analysis to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Documentation and Training: Prepare system documentation, process flowcharts, and user manuals. Conduct end-user training sessions to ensure smooth adoption and effective utilization of the EWM system.
- Testing and Issue Resolution: Plan and execute comprehensive testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Identify and resolve system issues, defects, or configuration gaps during the testing phase.
- Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, project team members, and stakeholders. Foster collaborative relationships and provide expert guidance to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Experience as an EWM Consultant, with a focus on EWM implementation projects.
- Proven experience in delivering at least two end-to-end EWM implementation projects.
- Strong knowledge of EWM functionalities, including Inbound, Outbound, Production Integration, and Physical Inventory processes.
- Hands-on experience in configuring EWM system, including master data setup, warehouse process types, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent understanding of integration points between EWM and other SAP modules, such as SAP MM, SD, PP, and TM.
- Proficient in EWM documentation practices and ability to create functional and technical specifications, process flowcharts, and user manuals.
- Solid experience in conducting system testing, issue resolution, and providing post-go-live support.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse business processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.
- Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
