The Endpoint Systems Engineer will play a critical role in managing and evolving the organisation’s endpoint ecosystem. This position focuses on operating system support, endpoint configuration, and feature delivery, ensuring seamless user experiences across laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with offshore support partners and act as the primary contact for software packaging, deployment testing, and endpoint analytics reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage OS lifecycle, including patching, feature updates, and compatibility testing.
- Build and test new features to support digital workplace initiatives.
- Configure and maintain Intune and SCCM environments.
- Develop and maintain laptop gold images for consistent deployment.
- Partner with offshore endpoint support teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for new software package creation, deployment testing, and validation.
- Support digital transformation projects impacting endpoint services.
Digital Employee Experience (DEX) & VDI Services:
- Implement and support DEX tooling to enhance user experience.
- Provide technical support for VDI environments and related services.
Lifecycle & Analytics:
- Lead software decommissioning activities across the laptop estate.
- Deliver endpoint analytics reporting to inform decision-making and improve performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune and SCCM configuration and management.
- Proven experience in OS lifecycle management (Windows, macOS, mobile OS).
- Knowledge of VDI technologies (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon).
- Familiarity with DEX tooling and endpoint analytics platforms.
- Experience building and maintaining gold images for laptops.
- Strong collaboration skills with offshore/global support teams.
- Ability to manage software packaging, deployment, and decommissioning processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in enterprise-scale endpoint management.
- Exposure to digital workplace transformation projects.
- Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
