DLP Security Specialist in Norfolk

b Overview /b p In this role, you will protect enterprise data by monitoring and managing Microsoft Purview DLP within security operations. You’ll collaborate with security teams and stakeholders to investigate incidents, tune policies, and support data protection initiatives. You will contribute to reducing false positives and document processes to strengthen data governance. This position offers hands-on work in a global IT services environment with a focus on impactful, scalable data protection. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Monitor and resolve Microsoft Purview DLP incidents and alerts /li li Manage security tickets, service requests, and escalations within SLAs /li li Triage incidents, perform investigations, root cause analysis, and document findings /li li Support data classification, sensitivity labeling, and information protection initiatives /li li Fine-tune DLP policies to reduce false positives /li li Coordinate with end users, security teams, and business stakeholders for incident resolution /li li Support certificate management and basic PKI activities /li li Prepare operational reports, dashboards, knowledge articles, and SOP documentation /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Strong experience in Security Operations, Data Protection, or SOC environments /li li Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP /li li Experience managing security incidents and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow/JIRA/Remedy) /li li Understanding of Data Classification, Information Protection, and Compliance concepts /li li Basic knowledge of PKI, digital certificates, encryption, and key management /li li Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills /li /ul ul li troubleshooting /li li analytical thinking /li li clear communication /li li Microsoft Purview DLP /li li Data classification and information protection /li li ServiceNow/JIRA/Remedy /li /ul
