We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability and operational performance of cloud-based services. You will combine software engineering skills with strong knowledge of GCP, Linux, networking and containerised platforms.
Location: Manchester, UK
Basis: 12-month fixed term contract
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and improve reliable, scalable cloud services on GCP.
- Use coding and automation to reduce manual operational effort.
- Support and troubleshoot Linux and Unix-based systems.
- Diagnose issues across applications, infrastructure and networking layers.
- Operate and improve containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to reliability-focused engineering and operational practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents and prevent recurrence.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong coding and automation capability.
- Hands-on cloud computing experience, particularly GCP.
- Strong Linux or Unix systems knowledge.
- Good understanding of networking protocols.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- A practical, reliability-focused approach to technical problem-solving.
