We’re looking for an experienced Murex SME to join a high-impact Murex upgrade programme within a leading capital markets environment. This is a hands-on role working across Credit & Market Risk, with exposure to both upgrade delivery and ongoing platform enhancements.
You’ll collaborate closely with traders, risk managers, and cross-functional technology teams to drive a critical transformation initiative.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead and support Murex upgrade delivery, including gap analysis between current and target versions
- Define and drive regression testing strategy, including defect triage and mentoring junior team members
- Contribute to overall implementation and upgrade strategy
- Design and deliver enhancements across Market Risk, Credit Risk, Trade Pricing, and MLC
- Partner with SMEs and Business Analysts to build new risk solutions in Murex
- Support data migration to cloud in collaboration with vendor and engineering teams
- Provide project status updates, risks, and issue reporting to stakeholders
- Ensure operational excellence through runbooks, automation, and root-cause analysis
- Proven experience (5+ years) delivering end-to-end Murex solutions
- Strong experience in Murex upgrades, particularly within risk platforms (MLC & Market Risk)
- Deep expertise in:
- Credit Risk (PFE, CVA)
- Market Risk (VaR, DV01, NOP)
- Trade Pricing
- Murex configurations (workflow, datamart, interfaces – TDS, LTS, MDIT)
- Experience working with traders and risk stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Murex (Credit & Market Risk modules)
- SQL & Linux/bash scripting
- Tools: Control-M, ADO, ServiceNow, Confluence
- Capital markets products: IRD, FXD, Structured Credit/Finance
- Strong understanding of Market & Credit Risk frameworks
- Work on a business-critical Murex transformation programme
- Collaborate with front-office and risk experts
