We are seeking an experienced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise DLP capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Purview DLP and Zscaler DLP, with additional knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps / Defender DLP considered a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, deployment, and optimisation of DLP solutions across the enterprise.
- Act as the SME for Microsoft Purview DLP and Zscaler DLP, providing expertise across email, endpoint, cloud, and network channels.
- Support the development and enhancement of DLP policies, rules, and monitoring use cases aligned to business data‑protection requirements.
- Advise security architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders on best‑practice DLP implementation and data classification alignment.
- Conduct deep‑dive analysis and tuning to reduce false positives and improve policy effectiveness.
- Work closely with SOC and Cyber Operations teams to support incident response, including triage, investigation, and remediation of DLP alerts.
- Provide leadership on DLP governance, reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in producing technical documentation, runbooks, architectural designs, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a DLP SME or similar senior data‑protection role.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Purview DLP (policies, sensitive information types, endpoint DLP, cloud apps, insider risk alignment).
- Extensive experience with Zscaler DLP, including policy creation, endpoint integrations, and cloud/SaaS data‑flow analysis.
- Solid understanding of enterprise data flows, cloud architectures, and data‑classification frameworks.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex DLP policy behaviours across multiple platforms.
- Mandatory skills: Forcepoint DLP.
