Role Overview: Finance transformation Lead - RTR (Record to Report)

Role Overview

We are seeking to appoint Finance leader to take ownership of global Record to Report transformation for one of our most strategic client engagements. It is expected for this role to lead the strategy, design and transformation of end-to-end Record to Report processes, through AI & Agentification, Operating model changes and building ecosystem to enable continuous improvement.

This role will work closely with Finance, Business, and Technology teams to drive process standardisation, operational excellence, financial control, and ERP-enabled transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end RTR processes, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Journal Management, Reconciliations, and Financial Close.
• Designing and implementing initiatives across process, policies, technology and data.
• Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective process and system solutions.
• Drive standardisation, automation, and simplification across finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, and audit requirements.
• Support ERP and finance transformation programmes, including SAP S/4HANA and related finance technologies.
• Partnering with BPS / operations colleagues, handling outsources operations, to challenge existing practices and improve productivity
• Lead workshops, process design sessions, testing, and user adoption activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in Record to Report, Financial Accounting, Shared Services, or Finance Transformation.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Financial Close, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience designing and implementing finance process improvements and transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, BlackLine, Cadency, or similar finance platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within large-scale global transformation programmes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Experience within shared services, global business services, or finance transformation environments.
