Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our network team focusing on ingress and egress traffic architecture. You will be working on our AWS platform supporting Apigee hybrid environments that run on EKS and OpenShift, with control plane components in GCP. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, good working knowledge of GCP, and experience with network security in a multi-cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network components for our Apigee hybrid architecture running on EKS and OpenShift
- Manage ingress and egress traffic architecture using Cloud Network Services
- Configure and optimize application resilience across multiple regions and geographies using Global Server Load Balancers (GSLB)
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for automation
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Harness)
- Support storage and network setup for the Apigee hybrid environment
- Collaborate with the existing team on new AWS enhancements and architecture deployments
- Ensure proper DNS configuration, load balancing, and integration with application architectures
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of the platform running on top of Apigee
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in network engineering roles with cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services and architecture
- Experience with Apigee, preferably Apigee hybrid deployments
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and OpenShift environments
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness)
- Solid understanding of DNS, load balancers, and application resilience architectures
- Experience with multi-region, multi-geography deployments and traffic management
- Working knowledge of GCP services, particularly related to Apigee control plane
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented approach
- Experience with ingress and egress network architecture for secure environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of SDLC principles
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced Networking specialty
- Knowledge of storage and compute resources management in cloud environments
- GCP certification or hands-on experience with GCP networking services
- Experience in the financial or banking industry
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for banking network infrastructure
- Experience with application resilience implementation using global load balancers
