Servaada, a Wipro company, is looking for a Data Governance Consultant with previous experience in creating and maintaining corporate Data Governance frameworks in the financial services sector. The Data Governance Consultant will support Servaada in developing and implementing its Data Governance practices to meet regulatory requirements, meet reasonable requirements from clients, and mitigate operational risk of poor management of data.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish enterprise data governance framework (policies, standards, controls)
  • Define and implement data ownership and stewardship model
  • Drive data quality management and remediation processes
  • Implement data lineage and auditability across key systems
  • Align governance with regulatory reporting and Consumer Duty MI
  • Liaise with Servaada client to establish requirements, set clear expectations and establish reporting
  • Act as central point of coordination between Technology, Risk, and Business
  • Align into our clients to provide assurance around safe data governance practices
  • Hand off BAU processes to Line 1A for roll out into the wider Servaada account, and into other accounts as appropriate
  • Support enhancement and embedding of Servaada AI governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and satisfaction of client requirements
  • Support wider ALPHA IT Risk and Governance activities as and when required

  • Strong commercial awareness especially in BPO environment

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of FCA/PRA expectations, including Consumer Duty (data supporting fair outcomes) and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience aligning governance to regulated outsourcing models (BPO/TPSP)
  • Knowledge of data risk frameworks (e.g. BCBS 239 principles – even if indirectly applied)
  • Audit and regulatory remediation programmes
  • Practical experience with data policies, standards, and controls
  • Data ownership & stewardship models
  • Experience embedding governance in complex/legacy tech estates (very relevant to Servaada)
  • Hands-on experience with data quality frameworks (DQ rules, thresholds, scoring)
  • Issue management and remediation processes
  • Ability to design control frameworks aligned to operational risk
  • Understanding of auditability and traceability, especially for regulatory reporting and customer MI
  • Experience working directly with clients and demonstrating the ability to translate client requirements into governance controls
  • Provide assurance to external clients
  • Comfortable operating across Technology, Risk, and Business functions
  • Exposure to AI governance frameworks and ethical use of data/model oversight
  • Ability to align with evolving regulatory expectations for AI in FS
