Wipro is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work in London on a contract basis in the Capital Markets domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Play the role of a Business Analyst for project(s)/work stream(s) within Securities and Capital Markets.
- End to end delivery of book of work within the assigned project(s)/work stream(s), in agile/waterfall methodology.
- Requirements Engineering involving analysis of the problem, writing User Stories, FRDs and other documents, walkthrough of requirements for development and testing team, assisting business in UAT and acting as a single point of contact for business stakeholders.
- Liaise with business, other vendor teams and stakeholders.
- Play a key role in ensuring delivery from offshore center is on time and of high quality as per agreed SLAs.
Qualifications
- MBA/PGDBM/CFA. Good to have FRM/PRM/CFA.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Work with the client teams to gather detailed, specific, accurate, unambiguous business requirements and functional specifications.
- Ensure Business analysis, impact analysis, gap analysis and system analysis are done to a high standard on defined projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare functional/technical specifications, write user stories and work closely with developers/development teams to ensure that they understand the specifications and deliver IT solutions.
- Work with other business analysts (e.g. Upstream applications on firm wide initiatives and participate in the Front to Back User testing / regression testing).
- Have a solid functional expertise, adaptable and able to work effectively across different teams and functions.
- Knowledge of tools such as Gitlab, SharePoint, Confluence etc.
- Experience of backlog management, iteration planning and elaboration of the user stories.
- Very good understanding of finance domain, data flow from functional and technical point of view.
Functional Expertise
- Financial products knowledge - Exchange Traded, OTC in the context of Investment Banking trading activities.
- Regulatory reporting, Basel, MIFID, CCAR etc.
- Wealth management: KYC, Payments, Advisory, Portfolio Management etc.
- Asset Management: Fund creation, performance calculation etc.
- Order/Trade management front office systems etc.
