Senior Automation & Integration Engineer in Warwick

Position Summary

The Senior Automation & Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise automation solutions, APIs, integrations, AI-enabled workflows, and digital platforms across a broad range of business and technology environments.

This role combines software engineering, automation engineering, systems integration, platform development, and solution architecture to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, eliminate manual work, and enhance the employee experience. The engineer serves as both a hands-on developer and technical consultant, leveraging code-first and low-code technologies to connect enterprise systems, automate business processes, and enable modern digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Software & API Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications, services, and integrations.

• Develop and consume REST APIs and web services.

• Build scalable backend services using Python and related frameworks.

• Create reusable API libraries, connectors, and integration services.

• Develop secure solutions utilizing enterprise authentication and authorization standards.

• Build lightweight web interfaces, portals, dashboards, and administrative tools using modern web technologies.

Automation Engineering

• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, APIs, and workflow technologies.

• Automate operational, administrative, and business processes across multiple platforms.

• Design event-driven and scheduled automation solutions.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and resiliency within automation platforms.

• Support software deployment, configuration management, and CI/CD automation.

ServiceNow Development & Workflow Automation

• Develop and maintain ServiceNow Scripted REST APIs.

• Design and implement workflow automation and fulfilment processes.

• Create integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms.

• Build automated provisioning, request fulfilment, approval workflows, and orchestration solutions.

AI Engineering & Copilot Platform Administration

• Engineer and administer Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and supporting AI platform environments, integrations, controls, and deployment pipelines.

• Build administrative tooling for access, agent inventory, ownership, publishing, monitoring, audit, usage, licensing, and consumption.

• Integrate AI platforms with Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, Purview, Agent 365, ServiceNow, Fabric, Azure, and enterprise APIs.

• Automate platform monitoring, lifecycle management, policy enforcement, reporting, and operational support.

Enterprise Integration

• Design and implement integrations between cloud and on-premises platforms.

• Develop solutions leveraging Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, Foundry APIs, and third-party systems.

• Build solutions using APIs, webhooks, queues, and middleware technologies.

• Design scalable integration patterns that support enterprise workloads.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Define development standards, automation frameworks, and integration patterns.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify automation opportunities.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

• Provide technical consultation on automation and integration initiatives.

• Mentor engineers and support cross-functional project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience developing software, automation solutions, integrations, or enterprise platforms.

• Demonstrated experience with API development and integration architectures.

• Experience developing in both code-first and low-code environments.

• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, identity platforms, and enterprise SaaS solutions.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
