Over the last 10 years, Wiper and True has established itself as one of the UK’s leading craft breweries. We’ve built strong foundations for future growth in terms of our customer base and brand, and we operate out of our state‑of‑the‑art brewery production facility and taproom in the city centre. We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our amazing Warehouse and Fulfilment Team to support our Beautiful Beer on the final part of its journey to our trade customers in the Bristol area.

The Role

As part of our distribution team you will report to our Warehouse and Fulfilment Manager. You will pack the van with kegs and boxes of our beers and distribute these to our trade customers within the Bristol area, ensuring the product is delivered safely and responsibly to where our customers need it. This can often involve taking barrels down stairs, into cellars and over some short distances. Rope, trolley and other equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organising the daily delivery route from the paperwork provided
  • Delivering beer to pubs, bars, shops and other venues in the Bristol and surrounding areas
  • Completing daily paperwork
  • Handling some cash from customers
  • Refuelling/charging our vans, checking tyre pressure and general maintenance checks etc
  • Supporting Warehouse and Distribution team on site
  • Positively representing the brand face to face with our customers
  • Dealing with customer complaints and interactions on the spot, problem solving in the moment

About You

We see our delivery drivers as important Brand Ambassadors for the business. You don’t need to know lots about beer but you need to have good people skills – our customers chat to our drivers. You are someone who can drive and deliver our beer efficiently, whilst being professional and customer service focussed. You also need to have good attention to detail, be organised and be able to react positively to customers and company needs. This role will require lifting kegs and weighted goods up to 60 kgs on and off the van and into customer premises, which will include stairs. You need to accurately pick and pack the van from the warehouse where the same product will be present in different batches and different sizes of cans and kegs. You will use our internal operating system to route plan and complete distribution drops, scanning out products via our handheld PDA devices. This requires an individual who is confident with digital and computer based operating systems.

Must have

  • Full drivers licence check required
  • Your age and length of driving and licence record will be required for our insurers as part of their checks and they may not insure people based on this information. As such we will require this information as part of your application.
  • Previous delivery driving experience is preferred
  • If you have forklift training or licence or previous experience please let us know.

  • Temperatures may vary seasonally in work areas
  • You will be supplied with personal protective equipment
