Responsibilities
- Implement all relevant procedures described in the Business Management System (BMS) and ensure compliance.
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
- Assist in the internal process and product audits of the Business Management System (BMS).
- Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.
- Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures for external or internal issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Report to the customer the status of customer claims and ensure alignment between the customers and Wipac voice.
- Update quality documentation and communicate any carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns.
- Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits.
- Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation.
- Report against agreed quality metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Support on quality-related issues with the manufacturing and Wipac team.
- Support the scrap reduction programs in line with the business targets.
- Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality.
- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
- Produce written reports and make presentations.
- Support the engineering change process ensuring the quality deliverables are met.
- Responsible for customer PPAP submissions to customer and Wipac requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Desirable technical degree minimum HNC.
- Excellent organisational and follow-up skills.
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Commercially aware.
- Microsoft Office Predominantly Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Able to communicate and build relationships from shop floor to director level.
