Implement all relevant procedures described in the Business Management System (BMS) and ensure compliance. Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies. Assist in the internal process and product audits of the Business Management System (BMS). Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate. Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures for external or internal issues. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems. Reporting to the customer the status of customer claims and ensuring alignment between the customers and Wipac voice. Update quality documentation and communicate any carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns. Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits. Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation. Report against agreed quality metrics on a weekly and monthly basis. Support on quality-related issues with the manufacturing and Wipac team. Support the scrap reduction programs in line with the business targets. Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality. Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions. Produce written reports and make presentations. Support the engineering change process ensuring the quality deliverables are met. Responsible for customer PPAP submissions to customer and Wipac requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Desirable technical degree minimum HNC.
- Excellent organisational and follow‑up skills.
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Commercially aware.
- Microsoft Office Predominantly Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Able to communicate and build relationships from shop floor to director level.
- Co-ordination of APQP activities leading across all new product introductions and overseeing BEON/PPAP release status of all customer released products.
