Key Responsibilities

For the following activities it is expected that the Series launch coordinator is responsible for Pre-production builds.

Physically building pre-production, supporting the NPI Engineering teams and assessing and verifying the process.

Training and assessing the capability of the operators provided.

Continually reviewing and looking to improving process and people to deliver NEW series projects to a high level of efficiency, and quality standards.

  • Control all phase builds / working with the NPI Engineer/s.
  • Physically Build and feedback at each phase.
  • Support builds for testing activities.
  • Assessing and having input into creating process documentation, Training records / Work instruction and input into PFMEA.
  • Develop and support processes for all new products.
  • Develop and support line set ups in line with a high 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure the correct level of parts are available for the Phase builds.
  • Support Quality engineering in defect investigation and deliver root cause resolution.

For the following activities it is expected that the Series Launch coordinator supports the project team to meet the Phase Exit milestones.

  • Design for Manufacture activities throughout the project.
  • DFMEA / PFMEA.
  • Individual part reviews to feed into the CTS (Tooling documentation).
  • Support project development activities.
  • Support and lead Pre- Series builds.
  • Support Manufacturing until Phase 7 is closed and at 90days (Project Closed).

All of the above activities are to be carried out whilst adhering to Wipac Health and Safety, Environmental and 5S policies.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an assembly lead supervision role.
  • Proven track record of manufacturing methods improvements in assembly.
  • Excellent rapport building skills.
  • Strong proactive “Can do” attitude.
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead a team through improvement activities.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to adjust shift patterns to support production builds and customer visit requirements.
