VIDEO & PHOTO LEAD (VIDEOGRAPHER / PHOTOGRAPHER SHOOT & EDIT) Location: Bath (hybrid, 3 days a week in the office) Salary: £32K – £40K dependent on experience and quality of work portfolio + Annual business performance bonus. This is a role for a visual storyteller, someone who knows how to imagine, create & capture epic shots that feel aspirationally attractive, compelling & full of energy – primarily through the lens of a video camera, with photography as a solid second arrow in your Zelda quiver – We are looking for someone that strives to create immensely impactful, scroll stopping video and images that leave viewers feeling like they’ve landed on the boss level. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, and working hand in hand with our market champions, your skills and vision will form an integral part of how the world sees us and the incredible experiences we provide to our loyal and fast growing fan base. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s equally happy behind the camera, in the editing suite, collaborating with others, sharing ideas and shaping stories together. The Role This is a permanent role, working usual office hours with occasional evening work, to support with our Live Streams. You’ll concept, shoot and edit video and photo content for the various platforms our business runs on, creating pieces that work perfectly across social, campaigns and wider storytelling pieces, delivering eye-catching moments for both short and long form content, always ensuring our content is built with a clear eye on what it needs to achieve, and working towards the direction of building us a killer YouTube channel for the avid fan base across our niches. What You’ll Be Doing: * Creating video and photography content for social media, campaigns and storytelling moments – from product lowdowns, prize pulls, pack rips and bundles, to events, influencer collaborations, live streams and prize winner deliveries. This is no ordinary boring job, every day is full of creating fun and excitement for people’s screens. * Shooting and editing both short and long-form video for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, paid channels and websites. * Shooting and editing photography alongside video – from considered, campaign-ready stills to quick, ad-hoc shots when a moment calls for it. Video will be your primary craft, but you’re just as ready to pick up your camera for stills when the moment needs it. * Working closely with the wider team to spot upcoming content opportunities that bring our content calendar to life. As well as contributing to the calendar with your creative content ideas. * Collaborating with our Design Lead, Content & Community Lead, Paid Ads Lead, along with outsource partners, to translate ideas into engaging video and photographic stories. * Maintaining WinWink’s identity across all video and photography – from composition and lighting to pacing, tone and colour. * Managing post-production, including video editing, photo editing/retouching, basic sound capture and colour grading where needed. Though you should be able to control most of the colour in shot with plenty of LED video lighting on hand. * Keeping a close eye on trends, new formats and platform best practice to keep our content feeling fresh and relevant. * Understanding what success looks like for each piece of content to drive reach, engagement, campaign impact – and using that to sharpen ideas and future work. * Organising and archiving video and photo assets so they’re easy to find and ready for the team for future use. * Spec, manage and maintain all shooting equipment for the business. About You: * You’re a natural storyteller with a strong visual eye and a feel for capturing compelling visual experiences * You’re tech-savvy, keeping up to date with the gear and techniques of your craft. You’re comfortable shooting and editing, with a keen eye on either the TCG, Gaming, Hobbyist or Tech spaces, and excited by the idea of creating eye-catching content for fans who are passionate about the subject matter. * You bring genuine, demonstrable skill in both video and photography, with video as your primary strength. * You enjoy working collaboratively, are comfortable taking creative direction and bringing ideas to the table, and take pride in crafting content that has a high production value and grabs attention from the outset. * You also understand that great creative and strong results go hand in hand – you’re motivated by seeing your work perform, not just by making something beautiful. * Personal or working experience within our core interest groups of Pokémon, Lego, Warhammer, TCG, Console or PC Gaming and Tech would be an advantage, although premium quality content production is what will give you the edge in winning this role.
