SOCIAL VALUE MANAGER What It’s All About We are looking for a talented Social Value Manager to join our successful team at Winvic Construction, a multi-disciplinary main contractor based in the midlands that excels in the delivery of construction projects on a national scale. Reporting to the Senior Social Responsibility Manager, the role will support the needs of the CSR and Social Value team and perform a variety of functions in a fast-paced environment. As an experienced social value practitioner with a passion for collaborative working, the successful candidate will develop, implement, monitor and report on the impact of social value programmes and associated activities across a range of projects and frameworks. Experience of working with local partners to deliver local employment, training and skills and community engagement programmes and activities will be the key to success in this role, combined with an understanding of national and local themes to ensure the social value deliverables are relevant and beneficial. An understanding of the construction sector and local employment and skills programmes would also be beneficial. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Providing informed, deliverable social value submissions for tenders and framework bids and responses to questions at PQQ/ITT stage, advising on specific requirements and associated costs. Design and delivery of project and framework Social Value Delivery Plans and methodologies: Working with the commercial and operations teams on securing supply chain involvement and embedding social value into contract and project delivery. Engaging the supply chain, advising them of the social value requirements, implementation initiatives and how they can be met. Working with regional providers to deliver training and skills programmes. Identifying, developing and maintaining relationships working closely with external partners and stakeholders e.g. schools, colleges, VCSEs, community organisations, employment and skills agencies, local authorities etc. Reporting within required timeframes internally and to clients, local authorities and stakeholders. Establishing and maintaining monitoring, measurement, analysis and reporting processes for social value in line with National TOMs or other monitoring frameworks as agreed. Supporting with community and stakeholder engagement liaison, and communications. Representing Winvic on project related local forums, committees and groups. Providing guidance and support to sites on Community aspects of CCS to improve scores. Working with the marketing team to produce case studies and to promote social value activities externally online, through social media and internally on Viva Engage. Skills/Experience Experience in a social value or CSR role within construction, civil engineering or a training and skills background is desirable. Experience of developing social value delivery plans and understanding of social value methodologies; working with local partners to deliver local employment, training and skills and community engagement programmes and activities. Working knowledge of Social Value monitoring frameworks e.g. TOMs (Themes Outcomes Measures) is desirable. Strong analytical, data interpretation and management skills. Strong literacy skills and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication, networking and relationship management skills. Ability to engage well with others and influence a range of key stakeholders. Confidence in meeting and working with a diverse range of people from a variety of backgrounds.
