What we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic Planner to join our successful team at Winvic Construction; a multi-disciplinary main contractor based in the Midlands that excels in the delivery of construction projects on a national scale.

Our projects vary in value from £10m to in excess of £60m and are across a range of sectors including industrial, retail, residential, offices, industrial fit out and infrastructure.

Liaising with the tender team to demonstrate logistics and establish the optimum build sequence, incorporating the agreed earthworks strategy.

Highlight any programme concerns & opportunities for each tender.

Prepare tender programmes with supporting graphics, plus the pricing of associated preliminaries.

Attending meetings/tender interviews as required including input into presentations.

Regular site visits to monitor progress against the suite of programmes referred to above and producing accurate assessments for internal action & client meetings.

Assessment of the programme impact of variations / change where necessary.

The Role

We have a particular need within our

Industrial Sector currently. Reporting to the Managing Planner, the successful candidate will be responsible for a varied workload of tender and live projects

Experience & Qualifications

  • You will have good communication & organisational skills so that you work well contributing to the success of varying teams that you will support – including multiple sites, tender teams and planning department.
  • Computer literate with experience with Asta Powerproject software, plus a good working knowledge of other software, such as Excel and Power Point.
  • An industry applicable qualification ONC/HNC, B Eng, NVQ or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstration of construction knowledge and the planning of construction activities on multiple projects of varying types to meet deadlines.
  • Ideally, you will be located within a reasonable travel distance of our Midlands (Northampton) Head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the tender team to demonstrate logistics & establish the optimum build sequence, incorporating the agreed earthworks strategy.

Highlight any programme concerns & opportunities for each tender.

  • Prepare tender programmes with supporting graphics, plus the pricing of associated preliminaries.
  • Attending meetings/tender interviews as required including input into presentations.
  • The development of a full suite of programmes including contract, construction and design and procurement programme/schedules for live projects with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • The preparation of sequence graphics including detailed trade specific information and attendance at meetings as necessary.
  • Regular site visits to monitor progress against the suite of programmes referred to above and producing accurate assessments for internal action and client meetings.
  • Assessment of the programme impact of variations/change where necessary.
  • The preparation of completion programmes.
