Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented professional to support our data procurement and broker due diligence activities, with a particular focus on automation, workflow optimisation, and management reporting. This role combines hands-on procurement and due diligence responsibilities with the opportunity to design and implement scalable solutions using Python, SQL, and workflow tools (e.g. Jira). The successful candidate will help streamline processes, build dashboards, and enhance reporting across procurement and vendor governance activities. Over time, the role will evolve to include direct engagement with data vendors and senior internal stakeholders, including participation in commercial discussions and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation, Data & Reporting
    • Develop and maintain automated workflows for procurement and due diligence processes using Python, SQL, and Jira.
    • Build dashboards and automated management reports to track vendor onboarding, due diligence status, contract renewals, and cost allocations.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes including but not limited to – maintaining vendor data catalogue dashboards, cost apportioning and allocation algorithm, contract renewal process.
  • Due Diligence
    • Conduct onboarding and ongoing due diligence on fund brokerage service providers, custodians, administrators, and other key service providers.
    • Manage the end-to-end due diligence lifecycle, from initial RFQ through to DD report production.
    • Maintain documentation, controls, and audit trails across due diligence activities.
  • Procurement
    • Support procurement workflows, including requirement gathering, vendor coordination, and process tracking.
    • Liaise with exchanges to facilitate onboarding and relationship management.
    • Manage contract renewals and support monthly cost allocation processes (leveraging SQL / Python and automation tools).
    • Lead weekly team meetings to discuss upcoming renewals, liaise with internal stakeholders and exchanges/vendors as required.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement (Progression)
    • Over time, a successful candidate will take on increasing responsibility in engaging with data vendors and internal senior stakeholders.
    • Support and eventually lead commercial discussions, including pricing negotiations and contract terms.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical capability: Python and SQL (essential).
  • Experience building automations, dashboards, and workflow tools (e.g. Jira or similar platforms).
  • Experience in procurement, vendor management, or due diligence within financial services.
  • Understanding of brokerage, custodians, administrators, or data vendors is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
