We are currently seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our project team in Blyth, UK. This role will be responsible for supporting the development, monitoring, and management of project schedules, ensuring works are planned and executed in line with programme requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in line with overall project objectives
- Support the coordination of planning activities across the project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress and highlight any delays or risks to programme delivery
- Work closely with Project Managers, Package Managers, design teams, and subcontractors to align schedules
- Assist in the preparation and updating of short-term and long-term construction programmes
- Track progress against milestones and report on programme performance
- Attend Planning Meetings, Progress Meetings, and Project Reviews
- Assist in analysing critical paths and identifying opportunities for programme optimisation
- Review subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule
- Provide regular progress reports and schedule updates to the project team
- Support the preparation of programme-related inputs for claims and variations
- Ensure all planning documentation is maintained and up to date
- Assist in identifying and resolving scheduling and coordination issues
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in project planning within construction or engineering
- Experience supporting programme development on construction projects
- Proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery processes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
