We are currently seeking an experienced ELV Lead / BMS Controls Engineer to join a major data centre project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing the delivery, coordination, and commissioning of BMS and ELV systems through to final handover.

Requirements
  • Manage BMS/ELV package delivery from installation through to commissioning
  • Chair BMS workshops between Design team and BMS provider
  • Attend daily coordination meetings and afternoon DABs
  • Act as main point of contact for vendors, resolving site issues
  • Review drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals, progressing design queries
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure commissioning activities remain on programme
  • Attend commissioning, client, and vendor meetings
  • Review L3 testing outputs (screenshots, system performance)
  • Inspect completed works for QA/QC sign-off
  • Manage and upload commissioning documentation to the Cx portal, tracking RAG status
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Controls
  • Experience with BMS/ELV systems on large-scale construction or data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of Building Automation, commissioning and system integration
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage vendor coordination
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
