Our Client, a European Bank, is seeking a dedicated Risk Officer preferably with 5 years of experience in Enterprise-wide Risk Management within the banking sector. Preferably with strong technical expertise across Operational, Credit, IT, Cyber, and Liquidity risk disciplines, and appetite to build a track record of supporting executive-level risk governance and contributing to a robust risk culture.

The role will require delivering accurate and timely MI for Risk committees - including Executive Risk Committee (ERC) and Board Risk Committee (BRC) - and maintaining alignment with the Bank’s Risk Appetite Statement. Building and enhancing risk management tools, models, and processes used across business divisions, and ensuring that the Enterprise Risk Management Framework remains effective, transparent, and compliant with evolving regulatory expectations.

The holder will need to build a strong understanding of PRA/FCA regulations, statutory and regulatory codes of practice, and the end-to-end risk management cycle. Competency in overseeing stress testing, managing the Bank’s risk registers, embedding RCSAs, and overseeing the implementation of policies for Operational Risk, IT & Cyber Risk, and Liquidity Risk.

The job holder will act with integrity, diligence and accountability while maintaining high standards of conduct. Skilled in communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling successful delivery of critical risk insights and timely escalation of issues when required.

Candidate Profile Experience:

  • Preferably Risk Manager experience.
  • Experience in small or mid-sized banks, challenger banks, or specialist lenders.

  • Effective Communicator: Prepares clear, concise risk packs for senior committees and advises on regulatory changes.
