I’m working with a mid-sized European Bank looking to hire a Credit Officer on a 4-month maternity cover. Flexible working potentially available – full-time or 3 days per week. This is a great opportunity for a credit professional who enjoys end-to-end involvement in the lending lifecycle — from structuring and underwriting through to documentation and ongoing portfolio management.
The role:
- Prepare and assess loan applications, including financial analysis and risk ratio calculations
- Manage annual reviews, renewals, extensions, and new lending requests with minimal amendments required by approvers
- Draft loan documentation in line with approved terms
- Set and monitor credit limits and maintain accurate client credit files
- Liaise with solicitors, valuers, and internal stakeholders to progress deals efficiently
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Branch teams, and Risk to deliver credit solutions
- Monitor application progress and keep clients informed throughout the process
- Produce credit MI and management reporting
- Support ongoing risk analysis, customer rating, and internal credit correspondence
