Officer, Finance Department, Temp 6 month Contract
Our Client, a London subsidiary of an international Bank is looking to hire an Officer for their Finance Department. This is a 6 month temporary contract and willbe based on-site in the City of London, Monday to Friday. Further details below:
- Making regular payments to the vendors/service providers.
- Managing suppliers and ensuring supplier reconciliations.
- Month end entries like depreciation, accruals and prepayments and other journal entries.
- GL movement, scrutiny, analysis, review on monthly basis.
- Regular expenses entries in accounting software.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
Management accounts:
- Assist in Drafting monthly management accounts along with balance sheet analysis, income analysis.
- Assist in Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and Corporate Tax returns.
Budgeting and Management Information
- Monitor budget performance and assist in variance analysis.
- Assist with drafting of agendas and supporting documentation for management committees and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
- Understanding of IFRS, UK regulatory reporting requirements, and banking accounting practices
Previous Experience
- Preferred minimum 2 years’ experience in Finance, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, or Management Accounting, within thebanking or financial services sector.
