NEW ROLE Our client is the London subsidiary of an International bank. They are looking to hire an Officer for their Finance department. This is a 6 month temp contract.
The role duties will include:
Supplier Maintenance:
Making regular payments to the vendors/ service providers.
Managing suppliers and ensuring supplier reconciliations.
Bookkeeping:
Month end entries like depreciation, accruals and prepayments and other journal entries.
GL movement, scrutiny, analysis, review on monthly basis.
Regular expenses entries in accounting software.
Maintain the fixed asset register.
Reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
Management accounts:
Assist in Drafting monthly management accounts along with balance sheet analysis, income analysis.
Assist in Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and Corporate Tax returns.
Budgeting and Management Information
Monitor budget performance and assist in variance analysis.
Assist with drafting of agendas and supporting documentation for management committees and meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
Understanding of IFRS, UK regulatory reporting requirements, and banking accounting practices.
Previous Experience
Preferred minimum 2 years' experience in Finance, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, or Management Accounting, within the banking or financial services sector.
