We are excited to be recruiting for a new Area Sales Manager role to drive growth across our Classeq sales territory within the South East (Sussex/Surrey/Kent) and London region of the UK. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven individual to play a key role in expanding our presence within the region. Proven experience within the foodservice industry would be highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of the UK catering equipment distributor network. The successful candidate will be working in a demanding, fast-paced environment that offers both diversity and challenge.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with the existing customer base, which includes distributors, consultants and end users.
  • Managing and developing key distributors in London and the South East of England.
  • Meeting pre-defined and agreed sales targets.
  • Assisting distributors with training and site surveys.
  • Identifying new distributors, group accounts and developing sales plans.
  • Support the overall success of the regional sales team through mentoring, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Effectively communicate activity performance levels within the UK sales operation and to HQ.
  • Ensuring that all pricing and ancillary costs are correct and up to date.
  • Collate and maintain accurate CRM data in line with GDPR guidelines.
  • Actively exploit CRM intelligence to maximize sales opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a logical career path in senior sales management.
  • Understand the dynamics of the key relationships and customer touch points within the UK supply chain.
  • Have a clear understanding of the politics and commercial relationships that exist within the UK foodservice market.
  • Have an understanding of functional and ergonomic kitchen layouts.
  • Have a sound working knowledge of CRM systems.
