We are looking for a motivated Trade Operations and Controls Analyst to join our Trade Operations and Controls team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career within front-office support, trading operations and market controls, working closely with the trading floor in a fast-paced financial markets environment. You will gain broad exposure across Trading, Operations, Compliance, Risk and IT, while playing an important role in maintaining strong governance standards and supporting the continued development of our trading control framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Trading floor on trading operations, systems and functionality queries.
- Monitor and apply the Trading Control Framework and support front-line governance activities.
- Act as a key liaison between Trading, Operations, Compliance, Risk and IT teams.
- Support the development, maintenance and enhancement of departmental procedures and controls.
- Maintain security static data across multiple databases including instrument creation and venue allocation.
- Manage market maker registrations and FCA short selling exemption records.
- Create and maintain trading books, stock allocations and platform static data.
- Act as a point of contact for exchange supervision teams regarding trade, order entry and pricing queries.
- Support the Trade Operations and Controls dashboard and operational reporting.
- Provide first-line support for trading system issues in collaboration with IT and Support teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation.
- Support projects from initiation through testing and implementation.
- Assist with training and onboarding of trainee dealers and new joiners.

- Have experience in trade operations, middle office, front office support or control functions within financial services.
- Have strong knowledge of trading venues, market structure or regulatory frameworks.
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, trading floor environment.

- Enjoy working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
- Have an interest in data analysis, SQL or process automation.
