What difference will you make? As a marketing/social media volunteer, your work will play a vital role in raising awareness of Winterbourne Medieval Barn as a cultural and community hub. By crafting engaging posts and sharing stories online, you'll help attract visitors, grow our digital audience and promote everything from concerts and craft fairs to educational workshops. Your content will not only showcase the Barn's rich history but also support our efforts to keep it thriving; increasing ticket sales, inspiring donations, and encouraging more people to get involved. You’ll help ensure this remarkable medieval building remains a living part of the local community, not just a historical site.
Key Responsibilities- Create and schedule engaging content across our Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote upcoming events and workshops.
- Share stories from The Barn’s history, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and volunteer spotlights.
- Help monitor engagement (likes, shares, comments), respond to basic queries, and contribute to growing our online community.
- Capture or source photos and short videos for use in posts.
- Liaise with other volunteers and staff to gather content ideas and updates.
- At least three years experience in marketing.
- A good eye for storytelling.
- Interest in history, heritage, community projects, or arts and culture isn't a must, but this is perfect for someone who likes them.
