We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our St Albans team.
Civil Engineer's at Wintech are responsible for the design and delivery of challenging schemes from inception through to project handover, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the design process and working knowledge of brief and scope documents.
- Identify scope requirements and accurately estimate timeframes for project delivery.
- Develop design concepts and undertake complex civil engineering design using Civil 3D, Causeway, or similar software.
- Provide advice and support to the team, liaise with clients, and deliver project briefings.
- Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members.
- Conduct design quality checks and oversee the production of design drawings.
- Monitor project fees against the agreed scope of services throughout design progress.
- Represent the company in meetings and collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk and Hydro CAD Modelling
- Experience in site layout, erosion control, utility design and environmental impact assessment
- Proficiency in project management, cost control and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
