Winston Solicitors is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Employment Solicitor to join our busy and growing Employment team. This role is ideal for a solicitor with typically 1–3 years’ PQE, although applications from all experience levels are welcome. You will assist the Head of Department, as well as manage your own caseload, from inception to completion, advising both employers and individuals on a wide range of employment law matters. The role offers excellent exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work, alongside opportunities to contribute to business development and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising employers and individuals on a broad range of employment law matters
- Handling tribunal proceedings, including advocacy where appropriate
- Delivering practical, tailored employment and HR advice
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts and settlement agreements
- Managing matters through ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal proceedings
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Contributing to business development initiatives and client training sessions
- Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering requirements
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Experience managing an employment law caseload, including settlement agreements, dismissals, redundancy, discrimination, disciplinary matters, and grievances
- Confident handling tribunal matters and advising employer clients
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Commercially minded, with excellent client care and technical ability
- Comfortable using IT systems including Microsoft Office and case management systems
