The Risk Engineering team at an award-winning hedge fund is looking for a new team member, following an internal promotion. They are designing and building a new real-time risk platform and tooling for both internal stakeholders and their external clients. This portfolio research and monitoring platform gives risk takers robust control over their investments across teams in London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Data Pipelines and Real-Time applications
  • Applying and injecting AI into the systems and tooling
  • Cooperate with Risk and Investment teams to build and improve existing systems
  • Evolve the risk system for real-time processing and scale-out to match business needs
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplined delivery teams and build relationships with business users and stakeholders
  • Improve the system’s reliability, monitoring, and performance
  • Work to engineering best practices

Qualifications

  • Expert programming skills and experience in Python and relevant libraries, and SQL
  • Strong programming skills and experience in at least one other programming language (C++, Java, Go, Scala, etc)
  • Experience working on distributed systems and messaging technologies
  • Skills and experience with data engineering
  • Experience with cloud, container and microservice infrastructures
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL design patterns
