A major sports betting and research firm with hundreds of millions of dollars in client flow is launching a prediction-market trading desk. This position may also be located in New York.
We are seeking a highly accomplished trader and leader with extensive market-making experience to lead the business.
We expect an impressive individual with a high Sharpe trading track record and likely experience at firms such as SIG, Jump, DRW, Virtu, Jane, HRT, etc. In addition to running your own trading book, you will own the recruitment and development of other traders and quants to the desk, and be responsible for the overall business P&L.
We expect you to have a genuine passion for US sports, as this will focus heavily on the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football and college basketball.
Direct sports trading is highly desirable; however, candidates may have developed their professional trading expertise in other asset classes, such as equities, derivatives, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, or digital assets, provided they can apply that experience to sports pricing, liquidity and risk management.
We can only consider senior candidates with an excellent trading track record and demonstrable experience building trading teams/pods.
